I've been listening a bit to KHITS tonight. I have no idea who Tom Kent is. And the music is all party stuff tonight. I think I've heard about one song that I like, all night. SIGH. What a change from Mark's shows....

Marlene: You could call and try, but I don't think they have him there... yet... (ever the optimist). This summer has really been in the crapper without Mark on the air though.

All this talk about the format possibly changing at KHits... But if the format remains the same, does this then mean Mark will be back? Is this the only issue at stake here? (Trying desperately to grab on to some vestige of hope...)

See the CBS thread for my comments re: barter / costcutting. Stations pick up syndicated shows like this by giving them trade (i.e rights to sell x minutes of ad time per hour.) Although given the difficulty of anyone selling radio ads, I don't think this is as attractive as it once was, but it gives the station programming and saves the cost of any staff.

Well, Mark's name is no longer on the KHITS "On Air" drop down menu.

that is not good. I guess discussion on salary are over. but maybe we will get lucky and they will resume when they L's return from vacation.

It gets worse... Mark's name is now completely gone from KHits.
