Deb, will the GSOLS be restocked soon? I thought I had ordered one of everything from there, but it would seem I have missed a couple.
Also, would love to see more collector's items made accessable if you're cleaning out any closets. Thanks... |

Yes on both counts. We'd hoped to have had it done by this week but with my laptop in ICU it's taken longer. We've upgraded the backend processing as well so it's taking a minute more to integrate that. And once you tweak one thing there's always more.
One of the advantages of premium membership is that you'll get first crack at the rarities. |

Hi! I am new here and have a question regarding the Groovy Stuff online store. Can you order "groovy stuff" from it? When I first found Mark's website I ordered an autographed picture. I didn't know he was away and was just happy to find his website and "reunite" with the man of my teenage dreams. The order never processed. When I returned and decided to e-mail to see what was up, he was back and his site had changed. So, I tried to reorder and it still did not process. I did get an order confirmation, but, nothing else. I was never charged for the autograph, so was not used and abused.
My two fabs and favs when growing up were The Beatles and the Raiders. The Raiders on this side of the "pond and the Lads from Liverpool on the other. Good music, good times. Was great to find Mark again, even though I live far from his radio show and have never seen him live. I respect him and his talent immensely and just wanted to have his autograph to hang on my wall with the Lads. Thanks for whatever assistance anyone can give to me. |

We're trying to go with a more simplified process and are just about there. I've been working on it today (just got my laptop out of a week at the hospital,
A long way to go to say it's sort of open, but not with a bunch of new rarities....shortly. |

Thanks so much for answering my question. Let me know when one can order and I will. I seem to have come on board when things were in a lot of flux on your end and didn't realize it. Well, at least I am ordering lots of PR&TR FEATURING MARK LINDSAY Cds, so am doing my part. LOL Even ordered a few old vinyls of ones I had way back in the days and lost over the years. What a great sound they had and so much energy and comedic dynamics, yet underneath were really rockin'. Is great fun! Thanks again for your help. Mark is still the coolest of the cool, from what I am reading and can't wait to read the biography one day.

Thanks Lynne for asking that question and thanks Deb for answering. I too had ordered in the past with the same results and couldn't figure out the problem. Will wait patiently and order once the store is up and running smoothly.

Steve Miller ? Billy Mack is a detective down in Taxes, you know he knows exactly what the "faxes". |

LOL!! Hey Lou, now that's funny...

Lol, yeah, those lyrics make about as much poetic sense as the real ones...I've always thought that Miller had some pretty lame lyrics... |

Lotsa people seem to have some pretty lame lyrics - or they really force a rhyme ("When they start talking cute....but the point is probably moot..."
Makes you appreciate a well-written, finely tuned song by a competent and talented writer. Which, I assume, is why we're all here. ----- teri "I intend to live forever. So far, so good." -- Steven Wright |

What drives me nuts are the songs that are basically one or two lines repeated over and over (think Phil Collins and most disco/dance music). I'd rather hear a finely-tuned phrase or even moon-June-spoon than that.
And yeah, Mark's written a pretty good song or two. ----- You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred. |

Regarding the Steve Miller lyrics... do you think they could be "what the facts is" and not "what the taxes"? Although, grammatically speaking, it should be "what the facts are." But I guess poetic license rules!

Yeah...the rhyme is "Texas" and "what the facts is".....a REAL stretch for me. oy |
